• The e-Capsule™ Private Mail runs on any Internet-enabled
PC without the need for prior installation or special drivers. The
application cannot be damaged or infected, since it is kept in a
partition of the USB which is accessed in read-only mode at all
times.
• The e-Capsule™ Private Mail can be used just like any other
standard e-mail application. However it has a number of additional
features that bring enterprise-level strong security tools to the
private individual.
• All e-mail messages are encrypted and decrypted only when
they are accessed and the mail box and address book are stored
encrypted in a secure partition of the USB, inaccessible to any
other application or usage. It is possible to export and archive a
copy of the e-Capsule™ encrypted mail box on a PC for backup
and for later full recovery.
• The e-Capsule™ Private Mail can be employed to encrypt and
digitally sign messages using any ISP e-mail account since the
application supports standard protocols (such as SMTP, POP3,
IMAP, and S/MIME) and doesn’t require any special confi guration
or settings at the server side.
The truly unique Personal Certifi cate Management features of
e-Capsule™ Private Mail will allow to manage all the user’s digital IDs
and to even create his own digital certifi cates in X.509 v.3 format. All the
e-Capsule™ certifi cates can be imported into any standard e-mail client
and sent to colleagues and friends to allow them to start exchanging
encrypted and digitally signed e-mails. |
